Start Collecting on Phygitals — Graded Cards & Vault Claims
Phygitals turns physical trading cards into digital collectibles on Solana — each digital card is backed 1:1 by a real card in a US vault (graded slabs on the native platform; two of its Jupiter Gacha packs mix in ungraded cards), and claiming retires the digital card and ships you the physical one. Three things set it apart: it uses a custodial-agent model (you keep legal title while the platform holds the slab), you can submit your own graded cards for digitisation, and it also exists as a pack provider inside Jupiter’s Gacha — where the rules differ from the native site. This guide covers the mechanics as of September 2026, from Phygitals’ own documentation. For the platform’s standing record see its registry profile.
Sign-up: wallet optional#
Phygitals runs on Solana, but you don’t need a crypto wallet to start — sign up with email, Google, Apple, or a wallet. Without your own wallet, cards live in an embedded (platform-managed) wallet tied to your account. A self-custody Solana wallet (Phantom-family) is the route if you want the collectible in a wallet you control. Claiming works from the embedded wallet too — the card just has to sit in whichever wallet is connected to your account.
One gate before that: Phygitals’ Terms of Service require you to be 18 or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater, and able to form a binding agreement — and they exclude anyone in a prohibited jurisdiction or on a US, EU or UK sanctions list (the named jurisdictions include Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea and the DNR/LNR regions; Australia is not listed). The platform may also request identity verification (Veriff) at any time, with access suspended if you don’t complete it (checked Sep 2026).
Three ways cards reach you#
Open packs. Packs are Phygitals’ primary discovery surface — you pay first, and a randomised draw picks graded physical cards from the pack’s pool. Every pull is “provably fair”: a commit-reveal scheme (the platform commits a seed hash before your open, then reveals it after so you can verify the draw wasn’t manipulated). After a reveal, a buyback offer may appear — sell the card back for a percentage of its fair market value, paid in USDC. The documented standard rate is 85% of FMV (enhanced rates show a badge on the pack before purchase), and the acceptance window is short: 30 minutes for standard cards, 3 days for sealed-product pulls, 7 days for inventory cards — then it’s gone permanently. (Australian readers: this is a chance-based purchase — pay first, draw at random. Read the pack page’s odds and pricing before spending, and treat it with the same care as any blind-box purchase.)
Buy on the marketplace. Cards list peer-to-peer at seller-set prices — Buy Now, individual offers, collection-wide offers, and a “sweep” mode that bundles the cheapest listings in one transaction. Every listing is backed by a vaulted physical card; buying transfers digital ownership to your wallet. All sales are final.
Submit your own graded card. Phygitals accepts PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC graded cards — no raw (ungraded) cards — from the categories it supports (Pokémon TCG, Baseball, Football, Basketball, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball, and select series). Submission itself is free — no per-card authentication or storage fee — but you pay tracked, insured shipping to the designated vault and carry the transit risk until it’s signed for. Intake runs roughly 5–14 business days ship-to-wallet: authentication, case-integrity check, grading-database cross-reference, photography, then digitisation into your wallet. Rejected cards return at your expense.
The fee picture#
Phygitals keeps explicit numbers out of its docs in favour of at-checkout disclosure: the marketplace takes a transaction fee deducted from seller proceeds (rate shown at listing and sale), buyers pay the listed price plus minimal network fees, and there’s no listing fee and no buyer premium. Submission is free and storage carries no ongoing fee per the submit doc. On redemption a per-item withdrawal fee plus shipping shows during the claim flow before you confirm. Treat every figure as shown-at-checkout — write down what you see, dated, before sizing a buy. (September 2026.)
Redemption: claim the card, retire the digital#
Claiming converts your digital collectible back into the physical card:
- Make sure the card isn’t listed — marketplace listings must be delisted first — and that it sits in the wallet connected to your account.
- Start a claim, then provide a shipping address, email and phone number (all required).
- Confirm — a per-item withdrawal fee and shipping display before you commit.
- On shipment the digital collectible is permanently retired.
Two details matter more than the flow. It’s irreversible once processing starts — stricter than platforms with a cancellation window. And timing depends on which vault holds your card: PSA-vaulted cards fulfill in about a week (2–3 weeks total for US delivery), Fanatics- and Alt-vaulted cards in 2–7 business days (1–2 weeks total US). A claim spanning multiple vaults arrives as multiple packages. International shipping runs roughly 1–4 weeks, tracking can go thin at the border, and customs charges are the recipient’s responsibility — Phygitals won’t understate declared value. Addresses must be Latin characters only — transliterate if yours isn’t. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery; report loss after 7+ business days without tracking movement. Shipments are transit-insured at declared value.
If you came via Jupiter Gacha#
Phygitals is also a pack provider inside Jupiter’s Gacha — Sport, Pokémon Trainer, Riftbound and One Piece Throne packs per Jupiter’s provider docs — where pulls carry a 7-day buyback window on that surface (rate set per pack; 100% of card value on the three launch packs) and redeem only through phygitals.com (Jupiter’s own shipping flow applies to the other provider’s pulls). Two catches worth knowing: the Sport Practice and Pokémon Trainer packs mix ungraded cards in with graded slabs — Phygitals states they’re Near Mint or Lightly Played, and the card page shows no grading company or grade — and a Phygitals pull sells on the Phygitals marketplace or a Solana NFT marketplace (Jupiter’s doc names Tensor and Magic Eden), not on Jupiter Gacha’s own marketplace. Transit insurance is set at fair market value at shipment time. If your card came from Jupiter, follow the phygitals.com claim flow above — don’t assume Jupiter’s Ship-home tab covers it.
The custody reality#
This is the piece most coverage skips. Phygitals operates as custodian, not owner — you retain legal title to the physical card while it sits in climate-controlled US vault facilities run by partners PSA, Fanatics and Alt (sealed product vaults at Alt, which also supplies the platform’s FMV pricing data). Each card is insured under the holding partner’s own insurance program — that’s partner-policy coverage, not a Phygitals umbrella policy, and it means the insurer of your card depends on which vault holds it. The digital card trades instantly while the slab doesn’t move; the custody models explainer covers what agent custody means for the shutdown question. On the shutdown question itself, the Terms of Service commit to more than most platforms put in writing: vaulted cards are held as custodial agent and are not Phygitals corporate assets (the stated intent is a claim window on insolvency, subject to legal constraints), and an account terminated without cause gives about 30 days to claim vaulted cards at standard claim fees.
The checklist before you buy or submit#
- [ ] Sign-up route picked — email/Google/Apple works with an embedded wallet (which can claim); a self-custody Solana wallet is only needed to hold the collectible in a wallet you control
- [ ] Packs read as chance — pay first, random draw; buyback is 85% of FMV in USDC on a 30-minute/3-day/7-day window, gone permanently after
- [ ] Marketplace finality known — all sales final; seller-side fee shown at listing; no listing fee, no buyer premium
- [ ] Claim irreversibility accepted — once processing starts there’s no cancel; the digital card retires on shipment
- [ ] Delist before claiming — listed cards can’t be claimed until delisted
- [ ] Vault timing checked — PSA ~2–3 weeks US total; Fanatics/Alt ~1–2 weeks US; international 1–4 weeks; multi-vault claims ship as separate packages
- [ ] Address requirements met — Latin characters only, complete fields, phone + email required; customs charges are on you
- [ ] Jupiter provenance checked — if you pulled on Jupiter Gacha, redemption runs on phygitals.com with FMV transit insurance; Sport Practice/Trainer pulls can be ungraded (no grade shown); resale runs on Phygitals/Solana marketplaces, not Jupiter’s
- [ ] Eligibility confirmed — Phygitals’ ToS require users 18+ or the age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever is greater) and able to contract; sanctioned jurisdictions/parties excluded; identity verification may be required
- [ ] Submit eligibility confirmed — PSA/BGS/SGC/CGC graded only, in supported categories; you carry inbound transit risk and cost; rejection returns at your expense
- [ ] Registry record read — check the Phygitals profile for the current verification state and the platform evaluation checklist before sizing a deposit
Bottom line: Phygitals’ shape is owner-title custody plus a genuine deposit lane — submit your own PSA/BGS/SGC/CGC slab for free digitisation, trade it peer-to-peer, or claim it back through a documented but irreversible claim flow. Its buyback windows are the shortest-lived of any vault platform we’ve documented (30 minutes on standard pulls), and its Jupiter Gacha surface runs on different rules than its own site — know which one your card came from. Re-check the registry record and verify fees at checkout before committing.
